A short break

Lesley and I have just returned from taking our caravan over to Te Anau for the long weekend.  While there we spent a day on Lake Manapouri and visited the underground power station. We also took the tourist bus trip to Milford Sound.

I have traveled extensively in many places in the world and been impressed with the Taj Mahal, The Yorkshire Dales and Yosemite Park ( to name a few) , but I am absolutely blown away with New Zealand’s Fiordland.  All the other places I have been have pale alongside the magnificence of the mountains,, spectacular waterfalls and stunning lake vistas.  I am only sad that it has taken me 64.7 years to get there.    I shall return.
